Mr. Clarence A. Johnson of Atlanta died Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Mr. Johnson was born in Rome, GA and was a member of Capitol View Baptist Church for 50 years. He retired from General Motors in 1980. Mr. Johnson was a founding member of the National Railway Historic Society. He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Cook of Alamo, CA; sons, Larry E. Johnson of Suwanee, GA, Charles E. Johnson of Columbia, SC; sister, Geneva Johnson of Albany, GA; 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 10 a.m. Monday, January 19th, Dr. Frank Crumpler officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to the Atlanta Union Mission, 2353 Bolton Rd, Atlanta, GA 30318. The family will receive friends 45 minutes prior to the service on Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
