Gloria Stone

Gloria Stone, of 3747 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at Hospice Atlanta from complications of esophageal cancer. Formerly of Avondale Estates, GA, Ms. Stone graduated from Avondale High and attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. Upon graduation from GSCW, Ms. Stone began her career with Equifax (formerly known as Retail Credit) until she retired 44 years later as Director of Employee Relations. Post Equifax, Ms. Stone spent her time tirelessly volunteering for the Assistance League of Atlanta, the Atlanta VA Medical Center and the Shepherd Center where she was the Correspondence Secretary. Ms. Stone was a member and active in Avondale Estates First Baptist Church. Esther Sunday School Class, the Avondale Estates Garden Club, the Avondale Woman's Club and the American Legion Harold Byrd Post 66. Ms. Stone also leaves behind many adoring and dedicated friends who enriched her life greatly and are better people for having known her.
