Mr. Jimmy Lewis Pickens, 65, of Loganville, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012. He was born in Decatur to James Thomas Pickens and Sara Frances Blalock Pickens. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Juanita Mayo, brother Donald, and son Tommy. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Brenda Still Pickens; sons, Kenneth Pickens and Kevin Pickens; grandchildren, Amanda Glisson, Kerrie Pickens, Courtney Pickens, Abigail Pickens, and J.T. Pickens; great grandchild, Brooke Glisson; brothers, Wayne Pickens and Ted Pickens; sister, Lynn Hames. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM , Sunday July 1, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Jack Brodnax officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00-8:00 and again on Sunday from 2:00-3:00 at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
