Margaret Cummings
Our Mother passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 1, 2014. She was born 95 years ago on a farm at Lavender Mountain, near Rome, GA. Her parents were Henry Lee Collins and Frances Lloyd, both of Rome. Margaret, her infant son David, and members of her family moved to Atlanta during the Second World War. She remained there for the rest of her life. Two years ago this vibrant woman was attacked by the scourge of Alzheimer's. During this difficult time she was attended to 24/7 by her loving daughter, Cathy Price of Tucker, GA, with whom she lived. Although she outlived all her peers, she had many friends, especially at Corpus Christi Church in Stone Mountain, GA of which she was a member for many years. Although she takes a big piece of our hearts with her, she also leaves a lifetime filled with love and energy that have become a part of our lives forever. She is survived by three children: Loving Daughter, Cathy Price of Tucker, GA Beloved Son, George Cummings of Tucker, GA, who was always there for her. Son, David Croker of San Francisco, CA. She was his best friend for 75 years. Also three grandchildren, Philip and (Christina) Price, Laura Cummings, Michael Cummings and three great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 5, at Westview Cemetery. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday April 4, at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home, 2773 N.
