Miss Marian Winifred Carnes, 79, of Decatur, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009, daughter of the late Mrs. Mattie Cofer (Bobbie) Brisendine, who died December 2, 1991. She was a retired accountant with General Motors Doraville Plant. She is survived by two nieces, Gloria Carnes Carroll of Lawrenceville, GA and Linda Gail Carnes of Morristown, TN, and two nephews, Victor E. Carnes, III of Decatur, and Alan G. Carnes of Albany, NY; several great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Larry T. Burgess officiating. Interment, Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons, 2773 N. Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA 30033
