Mr. Morris Demetrius Ramsey, Jr. of Decatur died Monday, February 16, 2009. He attended Decatur Boys High School and served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Ramsey graduated from the University of Georgia in 1954. He retired from Stanley Door Systems. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Christian Burkhart of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Alan Burkhart of Jacksonville, FL, Josh Burkhart of Los Angeles, CA, Shannon Dalrymple of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Jack Ramsey, Charlie Ramsey, both of Atlanta; sisters, Martha Ramsey and Anne Ramsey of Atlanta, Mary Standard of Jacksonville, FL; 3 great grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 11 a.m. Friday, February 20th. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Heart Association, 110-1 Northchase Pkwy, SE, Marietta, GA 30067. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, February 19th at A. S. Turner & Sons.
