Nell Elizabeth Rowe

Nell E. McKoy Rowe, 87, beloved wife of the late Walter F. Rowe, Sr., loving mother of Walter F. Rowe, Jr. (Nancy), Carol Ann Rowe (James B. Coppess) and Susan Nell Rowe (Ross H. Briggs), devoted daughter of the late Horace Camp McKoy, Sr. and Nell Beavers McKoy, much loved grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Nell was devoted to her family. She was a role model for all who knew her, young and old alike. She was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Decatur and the Vistamont Drive Sewing Circle, a Sunday School teacher, and a Girl Scout leader. She encountered many difficulties in life, particularly in her later years, but she faced them all with faith, humor, optimism, and resolve. Her family and friends will always remember her gentle spirit and her many acts of loving kindness. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 20, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan, GA with Rev. Julie Pennington-Russell officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at A. S. Turner and Sons.
