Preston Tate Farmer

Preston Tate Farmer passed away Friday July 22, 2022 in Atlanta, GA.  Tate was born December 13, 1980,  at Dekalb General Hospital in Decatur, Ga.

He is survived by the light of his life - his daughter Caleigh.

His only son is Kohen Serna of Brigham City, Utah.

His parents are M. Lynn and Barbara Taylor Farmer of Atlanta, GA.  Also surviving are his sister Hope Farmer Cummings (Jay) and nieces Dylan and Polly Cummings all of Buford, GA. His cousin is Harold Fowler (Kristy) of Jacksonville, FL.   He is the grandson of the late Helen and Howard Taylor of Decatur, GA, and the grandson of the late Byron and Babe Farmer of Atlanta, GA.

Tate was a 1999 graduate of Lakeside High School in Atlanta, GA  .  He graduated from Andrew College where he played golf for the Tigers. He won the East Lake Golf Club Jr. Club Championship in 1997 and also the Kaui Junior Open in Kaui, Hawaii in 1999.

Tate never met a stranger and counted most all  of his friends as "His Buddy".  Many were lucky enough to almost be a real brother and he truly loved them all. You know who you are.

His proudest moments were being Dad. A bond like no other.

Services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022 at AS Turner and Sons on N. Decatur, GA. Visitation will be held at 4:00 pm, service at 5:00, with a Tailgate reception after the service on the property.

Dress Code is Sundresses and Golf Shirts.
