Ronald Williams

Dear Family and Friends,

My friend, sweetheart, husband, rock, confidante, and the love of my life, Ronald Williams, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 26, 2019. Ronald was preceded in death by his father; William Rucker, and his mother; Evelyn Williams. Along with me, Ronald is survived by his siblings; Toney Williams and Vickie Williams Gibson, Brother and sister-in-laws; Kenneth Donald Bussey and Bernice Harris, Constance Bussey Hunt, Timothy and Marion Bussey, Marilyn Bussey Harvey, Ether and Barbara Bussey Williams. Ronald is from what is becoming a rare breed of individuals, a native Atlantan, Educated in the Atlanta Public School System and a 1963 graduate of Luther Judson Price High School. After high school in the fall of 1963 began his college years, and we met, and he asked me to be his girlfriend in a jester’s costume after coronation. As most of you are aware, our mutual love of music brought us together because we were members of the award winning Morris Brown College Choir, where Ronald was the lead first Tenor. During our senior year, Ronald was drafted by the United States Army in 1967 and served our country until 1969, when he was honorably discharged. On December 27, 2018 we were married 50 years, and adding our courtship, we have been together 56 years. Ronald continued to serve, and had a career of 41 years with the United States Post Office, retiring in 2010 as a Transportation Supervisor. My husband Ronald adored me and I adored him. He appreciated his siblings, doted on his nephews and nieces, and was so proud of each one of them. He so enjoyed his aunts, cousins, and friends. Thank you so much for all your prayers, cards, phone calls, text messages and understanding. Ronald and I appreciate each of you.
