Tim (Timothy Fredric) Tyson, 71, of DeKalb County, Atlanta, GA, died suddenly of a heart attack on January 23, 2023, at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta after a brief illness. Tim was born on December 1, 1951, in Lake Forrest, Ill, to Ann Rosenthal Tyson (deceased) of Sheboygan, WI and David Lawrence Tyson (deceased) of Lake Forrest, Ill.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Boyan Tyson, of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by his sister, Betsy (Elizabeth Ann) Tyson of Delray Beach, Fl.

Tim was employed full time by Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities as a Facilities Coordinator. He was devoted to his work and making the lives of ARMHC guests easier while staying at the two houses in Atlanta. He organized a Holiday fund-raising event for ARMHC every year and worked in a program they have for acquiring income for the Charity by recycling aluminum cans.

He was also involved with Calvary Childrens Home in Powder Springs, GA. He established a Christmas fund for the children who live there and a scholarship fund for their continuing education. With the help of generous friends, he also made sure each child received a birthday card on their birthday with a $20 bill inside.

Tim was an Army Veteran and will be buried in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 12:30 PM. A celebration of his life and memory will be scheduled for some time in April 2023.
