Vera Mae Henderson

Mrs. Vera Mae Henderson, 97, of McDonough formerly of Atlanta died Friday August 19, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie D. Henderson, daughter, Betty Mae Phillips, and sons, Willard Lee Henderson, and Raymond M. Henderson. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Long and Diane Owens and her son, Rev. Floyd Henderson, Sr. and his wife, Brenda. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 23 at Friendship Baptist Church with her son, Rev. Floyd Henderson, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning on Monday at 12 noon and on Tuesday until the funeral hour.
