Addie Patricia Gastley (Pat) Kjorlaug

Addie Patricia Gastley "Pat" Kjorlaug of Greensboro, North Carolina (formerly of Decatur, Georgia) died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. She was born on February 10, 1927 to parents Mr. and Mrs. James Henry Gastley. A very active woman, she worked with PTA, Georgia State Board of Education (1978-1984), Daughters of the American Revolution, and was an Elder at Decatur Presbyterian Church. She graduated from the University of Alabama and in 1977 was among the Leading Ladies of Atlanta. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Susie Gastley, and her son, Christopher Clark Kjorlaug. She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Clark Riegel Kjorlaug; daughter, Suellen K. Milton and husband, Thomas H. Milton of Greensboro NC; son, James Patrick Kjorlaug and wife, Alesia Kjorlaug of Paragould AR; daughter-in-law, Linda Kjorlaug of Alpharetta GA; grandchildren, Tricia Milton Shaw and husband, William Douglas Shaw of Greensboro NC, Riegel Milton Vanore and husband, Andrew Paul Vanore of Greensboro NC; Andrew Coy Kjorlaug and wife, Priscilla Kjorlaug of Franklin MA, James Clark Kjorlaug of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Christopher Erik Kjorlaug of Paragould AR, Clark Riegel Kjorlaug II of Alpharetta GA, Daniel Crotts of Atlanta GA and Stephen Crotts of Atlanta GA; great grandchildren, Kristine, Thomas, and Ben Shaw and Maria, Andrew and Lola Vanore and Jacob Crotts; sister-in-law, Audrey Kjorlaug of Dickinson TX. She also leaves behind many cousins including Paul and Sandra Jones of Clinton MS. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Lung Association or Decatur Presbyterian Church, 205 Sycamore St., Decatur GA 30030. Visitation will be Friday, December 16th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur, GA. A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 17th at Decatur City Cemetery with Rev. Nath Birley officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
