Adrienne Leigh Cleveland
May 26, 1972- July 27, 2017
Atlanta-
Adrienne Leigh Cleveland, 45, passed away peacefully on July 27th at home after a courageous and heroic battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was born on May 26, 1972, the third child, and first daughter in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Early in childhood, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she lived most of the rest of her life. She graduated from Henderson High School in 1990, and then attended the University of Georgia. Adrienne was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Adrienne’s career was with Siggers Salon, where she was a dedicated senior hairstylist, and top producer, for 21 years. She traveled all over the world sharing her talents and expertise with many other professionals, and building long lasting relationships.
Surviving are her parents: Lucy Smith, Doug Smith and Deb Castles; siblings Ashley Sudge (Margaret), Steven Sudge (Melanie), and Loren Smith Swinton (Shawn); and her uncle, Dr. James Thomason (Judy) of Cullman, AL. Her greatest loves were her nephews and nieces- Brandon and Kristen Sudge, Taylor and Lindsey Sudge, Andre Harris and Isabella Swinton, and Reese and Carter Cleveland. She was devoted to her beloved Maltese babies: Gracie, Beau, and Ruby.
Adrienne embodied courage, strength, kindness and love. Her inner beauty had a magnetism that captivated others, immediately impacting their lives positively. Adrienne was a creative genius, which was reflected in interior design, jewelry design, and the art of hairstyling and makeup. Everything she touched she made more beautiful. She was a master cook, nourishing bodies and delighting in meals, gatherings, and celebrations with family and friends. She had a deep sense of humor, and her laughter was healing to the soul, all the way to the very end. Her generosity knew no bounds as she selflessly gave her time to programs to feed the homeless, as well as many other charitable organizations. She immeasurably enriched the lives of all she touched, and left this world a better place having been a part of it.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at A.S. Turner and Sons (2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA, 30033) on Sunday, August 13th, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00-1:00.
