Agnes Aletha Funderburk

Aletha Funderburk passed away on Friday November 28, 2014. She was born in September 21, 1934 in Orangeburg, SC to Eugene Memmon and Eula Mae Funderburk. She graduated from Elloree High School, Elloree, SC. After graduating from Newberry College, she was certified by Emory University Hospital to be a Medial Laboratory Technologist. She retired from Emory Hospital in 1995 after working first as a Medical Tech. and later as Purchasing Agent for Emory-Crawford Long Hospital. Aletha served on the Church Council, sang in the choir and served as Sunday School Superintendent at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church. She loved cats and loved to paint flowers. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, E. M. who passed in 2014. Survivors include her nephew, Memmon Funderburk; niece, Susan Wacasey; and sister-in-law, Martha Funderburk. Memorial services will be 1 PM Sunday, December 14 at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church.
