Alfred was the only son of the late Rev. Carl John Buice and his wife, Ludie Mae Buice of Stone Mountain Georgia. His wife of 60 years, Mildred Louise Buice preceded him in death in 2001. Together they had three children, Thomas Alfred Buice and his wife, Bonnie Hadlock Buice, Linda Buice Cartmel and her husband Tom, Janet Buice Halabrin and her husband Jim. Alfred and his present wife, Maudie Conn Buice of ten years are also survived by her three children, Cindi Watson and her husband, Lowell, Lora Jane Baker and her husband, Mike and Jeffrey Hamilton, Sr. and his wife Mary. Combined they have 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Alfred served his country in World War II receiving Europe-Africa-Middle East Theater Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He served in the Tank Battalion driving, welding and repairing them. He proudly was a member of Local Union 72, who gave him his first job after returning from the battlefield. Thus he loved his brothers in wartime and his brothers of Local Union 72 as well as his brothers and sisters in Christ. Alfred will be laid to rest beside his late wife, Louise in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens on Lawrenceville Highway. Services will be Monday March 24th at 11 a.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons with Dr. Bob Whitmire, pastor of Monticello Baptist Church, officiating with soloist pianist, Mae Buice.
