Alice Armistead Tuggle of DeKalb County Georgia passed Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Lilburn, GA, where she had resided for the last three and half years. She was born on February 11, 1912, in Decatur, GA where she grew up, married and was an ole fashioned stay-at-home wife and mother enjoying her home. She served as president of PTA at Chamblee Grammar School, member of Eastern Star at Chamblee Lodge and Peachtree Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband of 59 years, Ralph w. Tuggle, owner with his brother of C.C. Tuggle Dairy Farm of Dekalb County, GA and family of original settlers in the area. Survivors include a daughter, Janice Tuggle Massee of Clayton, GA; a son and wife, Ralph "Buddy" W. and Teresa Tuggle, Jr. of Stone Mountain, GA; three grandsons, Kevin and Glenda Massee of Salem, AL, Scott Massee of Decatur, GA and Richard Tuggle of Stone Mountain, GA. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 22, 2007 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 3:00 P. M., followed by burial at Decatur Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
