Alice Dreher Scott, of Decatur, Georgia, died January 18, 2010 from complications of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Born in Reutlingen, Germany on December 9, 1941, she immigrated to the US in 1961. She was married to Frank V. Scott on August 16, 1969 and mourned his early passing on February 7, 1978. She became an American citizen on March 25, 2008. Alice rafted the Grand Canyon, saw much of the country, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, by whom she was much loved. She is survived by daughter Karin Scott, son-in-law Scott Page, granddaughter Jessamine, and grandson Levi, of Seattle; son Frank Scott, daughter-in-law Jennifer Scott, and granddaughter Dreher, of Santa Fe. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Memorial Service following at 11 a.m., this Saturday, January 23 at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, Georgia. In lieu in of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Embracing Hospice of Atlanta.
