Alice Krol Allenberg

Alice Kroll Allenberg, 72, of Decatur, GA passed away February 7, 2010. She was born in Florala, AL but spent most of her life in Miami, FL. She was married to Thomas Allenberg for 42 years before his passing in April 2009. After arriving in Atlanta in 1988, she began working for the McCords at Concord Pharmacy, whom she thought of as her second family, until last year when her health started to decline. In recent months, Alice was an active member of her community at Clairmont Oaks, providing everyone there with a daily dose of her warm smile and strength of character. Alice Allenberg enjoyed drawing and painting, her cats, and spending time with her family. Her son, Michael Allenberg of Atlanta, GA, daughter-in-law, Sheila Allenberg, and twin grandchildren who will arrive in August survive her. A memorial in Alice’s honor is to be held at 4pm Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur. The family will receive friends from 3pm until 4pm Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
