Allen Jackson Gibson

April 24, 1941 — September 27, 2023

In loving memory of Allen Jackson Gibson. Born on April 24, 1941, he went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2023.


He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carol Sheppard Gibson: daughter Jill Marie Winsness, husband Shannon, Son Adam Jack Gibson, wife Leigh, Four granddaughters Kacey and Morgan Winsness, Skylar and Emma Gibson.


Jack was born in Clarkston, Georgia and graduated from Clarkston High School. He took over his father's business, Fidelity Heating and Air, which was started in 1967. Jack's son Adam will continue the business.


Jack was ordained as a deacon at Rowland Hills Baptist Church and loved to visit and invite others to church. Later, he joined Rehoboth Baptist and has been a member for 21 years.


Jack was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Family members often refer to him as "The Rock" of the family. He was known for his sense of humor, memorable laugh and kindness to others. He enjoyed fishing and flying in airplanes.


Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 3:00PM at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00PM until the time of the service.


In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's memory may be made to a favorite charity or Rehoboth Baptist Church.
