Alton Cheek

Mr. Alton L. Cheek, 74, of Lithonia, GA died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at home. He was born January 21, 1934 to Homer Lee Cheek and the late M. Virginia Thrailkill. After 36 years, he retired as a general contractor and owner of Cheek Bros. Contractors. Alton was much beloved by his family. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Sue R. Cheek; a daughter, Karen L. Cheek; a son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Delilah J. Cheek; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 16th. Those desiring may send donations to the American Lung Association, 2452 Spring Rd., SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 15th at A. S. Turner & Sons.
