Brophy, Andrea
Anne Andrea Starnes Bridwell Brophy passed December 6, 2014. She was born in Atlanta at Crawford Long Hospital Peachtree St. on January 10, 1943, the daughter of the late Dorace and Elizabeth Starnes. Andrea attended South Cobb High School where she was voted Most Beautiful and was an outstanding athlete, receiving a scholarship offer from FSU. A talented hair stylist, she and her then husband, Howard Bridwell owned their own salon. Her biggest joy came from being mother to her two children, Chad Stephen Bridwell [Mary] and Beth Bridwell Hungerford [Chad Lamar]. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cortney, Chase, Amanda, Noel and Gabe and three great grandchildren, Aden, Payton and Killian. She was predeceased by adored infant grandson, Noah. She also leaves behind a brother, Ken Starnes [Betty] nephews, Steve [Tricia] and Buck [Stephanie] Starnes and their mother, Heidi Starnes Couch. Anne was a tendered hearted animal lover and is survived by her loyal kitties, Gatsby and O'Rielly. For a time she lived in Montgomery, AL where she enjoyed the company of many dear and very caring girlfriends. Upon her return to Atlanta, Anne attended Redeemer Lutheran where she found great joy and comfort in her small group. Services will be held Friday December 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer 731 Peachtree Street, Pastor Mary Peters officiating. Visitation and reception in the Sims Atrium will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, Andrea requested that donations be made to the Noah Foundation [the-noah-foundation.org] Post Office Box 680025 Prattville, AL 36068 or to your favorite charity. From your son, Chad: Mom, I love you. You're the best. From your daughter, Beth: I will always love you and cherish our many wonderful mother-daughter memories.
