On the morning of November 6, 2022, Angela Karen Ross passed away peacefully from metastatic gastric cancer. She was surrounded by her mother and sister at the time she passed. Angela was 58 years old, far too young to leave us.
Angela was born on August 31, 1964 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was one of two daughters born to Charles and Betsy Ross. Angela led an accomplished life filled with family and friends. Angela earned her Bachelor’s degree from Mercer University in 1988 and later her Project Management Professional Certification from the University of Phoenix where she resided at the time.
Her long and distinguished career began in corporate America on sales teams as a project manager for several companies until she found her true calling in interior design. She was able to turn what started as a hobby that she was passionate about into a successful business.
Angela had an amazing gift of really getting to know her clients and creating a home space that was perfect for them, inviting and welcoming while having an elegant and dramatic flair. Because of this, most clients became steadfast friends that she adored and who adored her.
Angela was always a drama queen in the best sense of the word. She entered the room with flair and grace and exuded positive energy. She loved to spend her free time with family and friends, sharing a meal or a glass of wine with lots of laughter!
Although Angela never had children by her own choice, she adored her nephews. She enjoyed spending time with them from the moment they were born to taking them for rides in her red convertible sports car as toddlers to watching their baseball, lacrosse, and football games.
Angela was also a dog lover. She was mom to two special fur babies, first Roxie and then Peaches, who was a little Pomeranian drama queen herself. Although her busy schedule did not allow for another dog after Peaches passed over the rainbow bridge, she doted on her dog-niece, Josie, who adored Angela right back. Whenever Angela was visiting, Josie was either in her lap or in her arms!
Angela was a member of Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church for over 30 years and participated in services and many bible studies there and elsewhere.
Angela is survived by her mother, Betty (Betsy) Dillman Ross; sister Allison Ross Mitchamore and brother-in-law Steve Mitchamore; two nephews, Ross and Riley Mitchamore; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Angela’s memorial service will be held Thursday, November 10 at 11:00 in the morning at Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church (3142 Lawrenceville Road, Tucker, GA 30084). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Research Institute through the Sarah Cannon Fund at the American Cancer Society (1-800-227-2345) or via the following link: <https://donate3.cancer.org/?campaign=sarahcannonfundcy17>
