Angelina Katsoudas

December 20, 1932 — November 12, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angelina "Evangelia" Katsoudas on November 12, 2023. She was born on December 20, 1932, in Piraeus, Greece. She married Angelo G. Katsoudas and immigrated to the United States in 1958. They lived in Thomasville, GA where they raised their family. They owned and operated the Zestos Drive In.

She was an active member of the Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church in Tallahassee, FL. She was heavily involved in the church and Philoptochos. She ran the loukoumades stand for the festivals and baked many pastries. Evangelia later moved to Atlanta, GA to be close to her children and grandchildren. She became a member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

Evangelia loved music, dancing, cooking, and sewing. Her love for these activities was only surpassed by her love for her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Evangelia was a beacon of love and selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Evangelia was a strong woman of deep faith, which was her guiding force in her life. She was known for her unwavering belief and trust in God, which she instilled in her children and grandchildren. Her faith-filled life was an inspiration to all who knew her. She lived her life with a spirit of generosity, kindness, and love, which touched everyone she met.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Angelo, and their son, Xarilaos "Harry". She is survived by her son George and wife Eleny, daughter Krisoula, and daughter-in-law, Eleni; her beloved grandchildren, Evangelos, Kyparissia, Paulina, Constantine, Evangelos, and Alexandros Katsoudas. Evangelia is also survived by her sister, Evdokia Hliaras, in Piraeus, Greece, and numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
