Angie Marie Hicks, 98, of Scottdale, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Hicks was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She had many careers which ended with her retirement from Rich's after 28 years of service. Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Mose (Mancy) Hicks, and is survived by three daughters, Helen Kelly of Lilburn, Betty Jean Britt (Dan) of Lilburn, Reba Carnes (Gary) of Tucker; three sons, James Hicks (Virginia) of Stone Mountain, Billy Hicks (Ann) of Loganville, Dennis Hicks (Debbie) of Lawrenceville; sister, Beatrice Arnold of Scottdale, brother, Benjamin P. Holley Jr. of Winder, 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, October 5, 2014 from the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with Rev. Luke Durden officiating. Interment will follow in Mellwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 3:00 - 8:00 pm and Sunday 2:00 - 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. A.S. Turner Funeral Home and Crematory.
