Ann Evelyn Costa

Ann Eskew Costa died June 8, 2013. She was born April 7, 1925 in Bowersville, Georgia, and moved as an infant to Cairo Georgia. She attended Cairo Public Schools and graduated from Cairo High School and the University of Georgia in 1947 with a BBA in Secretarial Science and Education. Mrs. Costa married Michael "Skip" Costa on February 14, 1948. Their children are Carol Ann Costa Marbury of Leesburg, Georgia and "Mike" Costa of Greenville, South Carolina. Mrs. Costa has lived in the Decatur area since 1954 and was an active member of Clairmont Presbyterian Church since that time. In 1977, Ann won first prize in the National Poultry Association's Chicken Cooking Contest. Mrs. Costa was devoted to her family, and she and her husband enjoyed many years of world travel together. They traveled to 35 countries on 6 continents. She is survived by her husband, two children, daughter- in- law Glenda Costa, son-in -law Felix Marbury , grandchildren Brian Marbury of Montgomery, Alabama, Tina Marbury of Leesburg, Georgia, Michael Costa IV and his wife Rita of Tampa, Florida, Andy Costa of Isle of Palms, South Carolina and Alyse Costa of Atlanta, her brothers John Eskew and his wife Vickie of Townsend, Tennessee, and Dr. Walter Reid Eskew of Townsend, Tennessee, a sister-in-law Zena Costa Brown of Atlanta. The memorial service will be held at A.S Turner and Sons at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 10, in Decatur, Georgia. Visitation will be held there at 2:00 before the service. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Clairmont Presbyterian Church or Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
