Ann P. Camp, wife of deceased husband R. Fred Camp, and mother of also deceased Steven Camp, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at age 83. She is survived by one son, David Camp, and a sister, Nelle McKenzie. Born and raised in Newnan, GA, Ann moved at a young age to Atlanta to work for Southern Railway. She retired in 1987, from what was then and now Norfolk-Southern after over 30 years of service. Her focus in life was an unswerving devotion to her family, and she participated in her son’s activities as much as work would possibly allow. She was a member of North Decatur United Methodist Church for most of her adult life, along with her husband and sons. All that new Ann loved her, and the lack of her continued presence in this life will be sorely missed. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Tuesday, January 26, at a visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at A. S. Turner& Sons Funeral Home in Decatur. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2:00 pm, preceded by a visitation hour at 1:00 pm, with a graveside service to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
