Anne Kidd Reight

Elizabeth Anne Reight, 94, of Gainesville, GA, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, November 3, 2016. She is remembered for her love of life, family, and her sweet sweet spirit. She could brighten any room with her smile. Anne was born May 20, 1922, in Alexandria, VA. She attended George Mason High School, later working for the Salvation Army during WWII aiding the Prisoners of War Release. It was during that time she met a young GI who later became her husband of 57 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Porter and her husband, Ray; grandchildren, MacClinton Kidd Patterson, George Roger Patterson, and Jessica Woods; as well as her beloved great granddaughter, Carlin Elizabeth Patterson. She also leaves behind two nephews and a niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria Lee Kidd and Wayland Kidd; husband, George C. Reight; daughter, Leslie Anne Blue; granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Porter; and sisters, Margaret Kidd Garner and Frances Kidd Miller.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2016, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with a reception held at her church, University Heights United Methodist Church.
