Anne Pruett

Anne Maret Pruett of Atlanta, GA, beloved wife and mother, passed away Monday April 29, 2013 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul L. and Escar King Maret; brothers, Paul, Lamar and Jack Maret and sister, Lorraine Maret Edwards. A native of Atlanta, she graduated from Atlanta Girl's High School in 1947. She was a member of First Baptist Church Atlanta and a member of Faith Class. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William S. Pruett of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Leanne Pruett of Raleigh, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Carol Maret of Cumming, GA; sister-in-law, Ernestine Pruett of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law Thomas J. Edwards, Jr. of Oakwood, GA, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, 4400 N Peachtree Rd., Atlanta, GA. Officiating will be Dr. Scott Downing, Reverend Anthony George, and Charlie Peace. Burial will be held at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, following the service. The family will be receiving visitors on May 2nd, prior to the service, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Atlanta.
