Anne Richards Young

Anne Richards Young, 87, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016. She was born in Crawfordville, Ga. but has lived in Stone Mountain for the past 47 years.



She is survived by her children: Michael Richards Young, Linda Anne Wilkerson (Jim) and Marcus Young. Grandchildren: Michele Camp, Michael Richards Young Jr, Briana Snowden and Jackson Ray Young. Daughter-in-law, Lisa Sweet (Howard). Cousins: Martha Frazier Mayo, George Angus Richards, Claud Richards and John Richards.



Anne was a retired beautician, loved playing bridge/cards, ballroom dancing, and traveling around the world.



The service will be held on Friday, June 3, at AS & Turner Sons funeral home in Decatur, Ga. The family will receive visitation at 10 am with the service beginning at 11:00. She will be laid to rest in Augusta, Ga. immediately following the service. She will be buried next to her parents George Franklin and Viola Gertrude and her sister Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to please make a donation to the DeKalb County Humane Society, Georgia Special Olympics or a charity of your choice.
