Annette Lange Boehnlein, 94, a long time resident of Northeast Atlanta, passed away on July 20, 2017 at Hospice Atlanta. She was born in Baltimore Maryland in 1923, the daughter of William and Rose Lange and spent her formative years attending school and working in various occupations around Baltimore before marrying her loving husband Bernie after World War II, raising a family and moving to Atlanta in 1959.
Annette was a long-time member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and served in the choir for many years. She loved music and was a contributing member of the Funtastiks theatre troupe during the 1980's/ 90's and also served as a Volunteer Usher at the Fox Theatre. She worked for many years at the Internal Revenue Service in Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard M. Boehnlein, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Jan) of Atlanta, Don (Susan) of Arlington WA, Bernard, Jr. (Annemarie) of Atlanta, grandchildren Emily, Andrew, Matthew, Alyssa, Natalie and great grandchildren Kate and Jack.
Visitation will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 2855 Briarcliff Rd NE, Atlanta 30329, from 9:30- 10:45 AM Monday July 24, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker GA 30084.
