Arthur Grady Morrison, Sr.

Arthur Grady Morrison Sr., 93, of Decatur, GA, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 from pneumonia. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 29, 2011, at 11:00AM in the Briarlake Baptist Church Chapel at 3715 LaVista Road in Decatur, GA. Arthur Grady Morrison Sr. was a founding and active member of this church and raised three Christian sons. Family visitation will be Friday April 29, 10:00AM at the same location. Burial will be at the Floral Hills Memory Gardens cemetery at 3000 Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker, immediately following the service. Arthur Grady Morrison, Sr., graduated from the University of Georgia in 1951 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He was an army veteran of World War II serving as a Master Sergeant and Senior Judo Instructor until November 1st, 1945. During his service he received two Bronze Stars. Arthur Grady Morrison, Sr., and his wife were married for 65 years. He is survived by his wife Ernestine West Morrison, sons Art, Jerry, and Jeff; grandsons, Tom, Brad, and Hunter Grady; daughters-in-laws June, Sheila, and Melanie and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
