Artie Lucinda Mcdonald Anderson

Artie Lucinda McDonald Anderson, age 85, passed away on Wednesday February 10, 2016 in Decatur Georgia.
Artie was born on April 18, 1930 in Miller County, Arkansas to parents Herbert A. McDonald and Cassie Lewis McDonald.
She is survived by her four children, Dianne Johns (Paul), Elizabeth Fuller, John O. Anderson III, and Kathy Reece (Ed). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Shane Meador, Cassie Meador, Joshua Wellnitz, Arash Arzi, Bobak Arzi, Mazdak Arzi, Kevin Arzi, Melissa Clackum, Sherrie Anderson, Eddie Reece, and Carrie Reece. In addition 5 great grandchildren, Robert Arzi, John Arzi, Rebecca Clackum, Rondal Clackum, and Grayson Johnson, and sister Louise Hodge.
She is preceded in death by her husband John O. Anderson Jr., and sisters Eunice Tillery, Lois Hudson, Irene Ware, Melba Garner, and brothers Troy and James McDonald.
Artie graduated from Little Rock High School in Little Rock Arkansas and attended Georgia State Business College in Atlanta Georgia. She and John married in 1950 and remained married until his death in 1988.
She was a current resident of Clairmont Oaks in Decatur Georgia.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed, reading , gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Her friends and family will always remember her as a strong independent woman with a willingness to help anyone in need.
The funeral is scheduled for Friday, February 19, 11 am at AS Turner and Sons in Decatur Georgia. Family will be receiving visitors prior to the funeral at 10 am.
