Audrey Gann Lewis

Audrey Gann Lewis, 90, of Clarkston, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. She was born in Oceola, Alabama. Audrey worked for F.W. Woolworth as a retail clerk for 15 years. Audrey was a member of Avondale First Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by her husband, H.J. Lewis; daughter Edith L. Head; granddaughter Susan H. Harris; sister Nellie R. Shifflett and her brother J.L. Gann. Audrey is survived by her Daughter Carolyn L. Crane, daughter and son-in-law Joan and lee Swaney; sister Edna F. Poole; four grandchildren: Michael Crane, Jodi Jones, Barry Swaney, Pam Pettus; four great grandchildren: Taylor Harris, Amanda Crane, Joseph Swaney, Christine Swaney; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday August 25 in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with Rev. Clay Bowden officiating. Interment will follow at Dawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Avondale First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
