Augustina Z. Kouros

Augustina Z. Kouros, age 88, fell asleep in our Lord October 26, 2016. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends in her home. Augustina "Tina" is lovingly remembered by her love for God, family, Church, friends, and Greek TV. Tina grew up on the island of Kalymnos Greece, married Michael E. Kouros and traveled to Atlanta Georgia where she resided until her passing. Her talent as a seamstress was a gift to Rich's now known as Macy's, Rays Men's Shop, her family, her friends, the Greek Cathedral and Chapel. Tina always had delicious lentils, paragemesi, pastries, spanakopita, avgolemono, fasolada, and many other dishes to share. She is best known for sharing her Hershey's chocolates with anyone who happened to stop by. Her family will always remember her as a strong faith filled Yiayia who taught us all to love God, the Panagia or Theotokos, family and the Church. We all love you yiayia and will keep you in our hearts until we meet in Heaven. Visitation will be held at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home Sunday, October 30th from 5:00-7:00, Trisagion Service at 6:00.The funeral service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation 11:00 Monday, October 31, 2016.
