Avril Antonia Hendricks-Hamilton

Mrs. Avril Antonia (Earle) Hendricks-Hamilton was born on August 7, 1955, to Joyce Richards and George Earle in Kingston, Jamaica, W.I. On October 20, 1969, at the tender age of 14, Avril migrated to the United States to join her mother and sisters. Avril received some of her education in Jamaica and graduated from Morris High School in Bronx, NY. Avril continued to pursue her education and obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social and Criminal Justice (Cum Laude) from Ashford University and she didn't stop there. Avril went on to receive her Master's Degree in Public Administration, also from Ashford University.

Avril was employed at Rockdale County Sheriff's Office where she served 11 years of faithful service. But we all know Avril didn't have just one job. She also worked at the Marriott for 17 years. Her co-workers can attest to her hard work and dedication.

If you knew Avril then you know her undying love for Beenie Man. She also enjoyed traveling. Avril was very cheerful with a positive attitude towards life. She would put the needs of others before herself. Avril was a blessing and had a smile that would light up a room.

She departed this life on January 28, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving father, George Earle; beloved siblings, Glenmore and Marlene.

She leaves behind her mother, Joyce McDonald; sisters: Margaret, Paula, Sandra, and Carol Lee; brothers: Arthur, Marlon, Darlton, George and Vincent; sisters and brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, February 10, at A.S. Turner & Sons. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons. Interment will be at Melwood Cemetery, Stone Mountain, GA, with a reception following.
