Ayako Judy Blanchard

Ayako Judy Blanchard, age 83, of Stone Mountain, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. She was born in North Vancouver, Canada and raised in Japan. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Shizuyo and Kanekichi Ikuta of Japan; her older brother, Ichiji Ben Ikuta of Canada; and her ex-husband, Earl (Strawberry) Blanchard Jr. of Georgia. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, JoAnn and Randy Burney of Dunwoody, Ga, and Myra and Sammy Shead of Conyers, Ga; sister, Hifumi Ann Kitagawa of Canada; two brothers, Hisaji and Noboru Ikuta of Japan; four grandchildren, Mindy Marshall, Megan Burney, Dylan and Lucas Shead; two step grandchildren, Candace and Michael Burney; three great- grandchildren, Jamin, Elise and Caleb Marshall; three step great-grandchildren, Shayla, Camden and Tia; and two step great-great-grandchildren, Chance and Maci. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 28th at 3:00pm in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27th from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
