Barbara F. Helmase

Barbara F. Helmase, 77, of Tucker, GA, passed away February 28, 2012 from complications resulting from a stroke. Barbara owned her own travel agency and enjoyed traveling the world extensively. She was an active volunteer with the Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband John S. Helmase; (son) Mark E. Helmase, (parents) Lester and Frances LaShomb, and (sister) Phyllis LaPointe. She is survived by her children, (son) Mike and Carol Helmase, (son) Pat and Jan Helmase, (daughter) Catherine and James Grant, (brother) Lester and Peggie LaShombe, Jr., (brother) Richard and Roe LaShomb; as well as , grandchildren: Tiffany, Christopher, Jenny, Mary, Daniel, and Elizabeth, and seven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, GA. at 3:30 PM on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012. Inurnment will be at a later date at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
