Mrs. Barbara Ayotte Brown died November 4, 2013. She was born in Elberta, AL on November 30, 1931. As a young woman, Barbara worked in New York City for Household Finance. She met her husband of 23 years, Bartow R. Brown, Sr., while serving in the USO at the Pensacola Naval Base. She later earned an Associate Degree from Pensacola Junior College and attended Georgia State University in Atlanta. She retired from The Emory Clinic after 14 years of employment. During her life, Barbara traveled to 5 of the 7 Continents and lived in Paris, Austria and Switzerland. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amelia Brown and Steven Mullins, Decatur; daughter and son-in-law, Corcelles and Scott Capps, Atlanta; son Bartow R. Brown, Jr., Lawrenceville; son, Blaise B. Brown, Clarkston; daughter-in-law, Liz Brown, Loganville, grandchildren, Alan Westbrooks, Lilburn, Elizabeth Westbrooks, Loganville, Mayda Brown, Snellville, Scarlett Capps, Atlanta, and Ava Capps, Atlanta; brother and sister-in-law, Albert P. Ayotte and Patricia Ayotte, Murrells Inlet, SC; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and great friends.
