Barbara Patterson

Barbara Patterson, 84, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, in Decatur, GA. Born in Detroit, Barbara was devoted to her family, faith, and community throughout her life.

Barbara married Ed Patterson in 1969, and they moved to Atlanta in 1981. They were blessed with four children: Eddie, Deanna, David, and Jennifer. Barbara and Ed dedicated themselves to providing their children with a strong Catholic education and nurturing their family with love and support.

A devout Catholic, Barbara regularly attended Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary, where she was an active member of the parish. She volunteered by bringing Communion to residents at Kingsbridge, assisting Birthright, and participating in a parish prayer group for 50 years.

Barbara is survived by her children, Eddie, Deanna, David, and Jennifer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed, her sister Pat, her brother Tom, and her parents, Tom and Rose.

A Funeral Mass for Barbara Patterson will be held on August 24th at 2 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Atlanta, with a Rosary preceding at 1 PM. Interment will take place on Monday, August 26th, at 10 AM at Honey Creek Woodlands in Conyers, GA. Those wishing to attend the burial are asked to please inform the family.
