Benjamin Franklin Clark

October 30, 1924 — March 11, 2007

B. Franklin Clark, age 82, of Atlanta died Sunday, March 11, 2007. He was a veteran of World War II serving as a Corporal in the U. S. Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries received at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the American Legion and the Atlanta Elks Lodge #78. Mr. Clark was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council # 660. He was a long-time member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mr. Clark was a Certified Property Manager with BOMA (Building Owners & Management Association) and past president of the Southeastern Conference of BOMA. He was the co-founder of the Elaine Clark Center for Exceptional Children. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Photianos Clark; daughter, Elaine Clark; brother, Thomas Clark; and sister, Eloise Clark. He is survived by his daughter, Mona Williams and her husband Paul of Sugar Hill; son, Lance Matthew Clark of Atlanta; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces and a nephew. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 15th, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Monsignor R. Donald Kiernan officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers those desiring may send memorial contributions to the Elaine Clark Center, 5130 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Chamblee, GA 30341. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
