Benjamin Michael Wells passed away on January 18, 2021. Ben was born in Tallahassee, Florida on January 11, 1995.
He was proceeded in death by his Grandmother Rosalyn Warren Wells, of Statesboro, Georgia.
He is survived by his parents, Jay W. Wells, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Heidi Granstra Wells, Atlanta, Georgia; His sister Anna Wells Stone (Brian), Louisville, Kentucky, niece Elizabeth Sophia Stone, Louisville, Kentucky, Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wells (Martha), Statesboro, Georgia, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Granstra (Mary), Villa Rica, Georgia, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Growing up in Bainbridge, Georgia, Ben had a vibrant, outgoing personality, and a love for life. He enjoyed playing sports, church activities, fishing with his Grandfathers, spending time at Cape San Blas, going to Georgia Tech football games, and just having fun with friends.
Ben was an Eagle Scout and a member of First United Methodist Church, where he learned to love the Lord and serve others. He enjoyed taking care of his dogs and cats, and cooking for family and friends.
He later moved to Tuscaloosa where he attended Northridge High School before graduating from The Capital School in 2013. He also attended the University of Alabama.
A small family service to honor his life will be held at the A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur, GA. Rev. Steven Shelton officiating.
