Bernadine Dobbins, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away from a stroke on December 14, 2013. She was born in Chapmanville, WV, on August 5, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Porter F. and Osa M. Dobbins and was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin H. Dobbins. Bernadine received her education at Logan High School in Logan, WV, where she excelled in a variety of school functions. After graduation, she attended Marshall College in Huntington, WV, and Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. She was employed by Lockheed Aircraft Corp. of Marietta, GA. as a technical illustrator. She worked as a model and buyer at Davison's in downtown Atlanta. When she was in California, she designed kitchens. Survived by her brother, Porter F. Dobbins, Jr. and his wife Dottie of Oakton, VA; sister, Geraldine D. Freeman of Atlanta, GA; nephews Edwin H. Dobbins, Jr. of Carmichael, CA, G. Douglas Dobbins of Herndon, VA and K. Marshall Freeman, Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA; nieces, Katherine D. Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA, Kim F. McLemore of West Point, Utah and Terri F. Ellis of Doraville, GA; thirteen great nieces and nephews; sixteen great-great nieces and nephews. Memorial donations in Bernadine's name may be made to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive, Atlanta, GA 30319.
