Bernice Ellenburg

Bernice Moore Ellenburg, born December 28, 1936 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2016. She graduated from Druid Hills High School in 1954 and attended the University of Georgia from 1954-1956, where she met John F. Ellenburg, the Love of Her Life. They married in 1956 and celebrated 59 years together in August. Bernice had a colorful career as a top beauty consultant with Mary Kay and later worked for 18 years at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart. She had a devout Christian faith and was a member of First Alliance Church and Clairmont Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, John Ellenburg and two children, daughter, Dee Geeting and son, David (Melissa) Ellenburg. In addition, she is also survived by grandchildren Josh Geeting (Brittany), Lindsay (fiance' Zach Gogolin), Kimberly, Logan and Lacey Ellenburg, great granddaughter, Skylar and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, January 31, at 3:00 in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home, Decatur. The family will receive friends before the service at 2:00.
