Bert M. Carmody

Bert M. Carmody, 67 of Atlanta, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017. Bert honorably served 27 years in the U. S. Navy, retiring as a Captain. He worked over 40 years as a finance and retirement planner and was an active member of Briarcliff United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughter; Laura Carmody, his son; Jack Carmody and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Alice Wrigley Carmody. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Briarcliff United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Puckett officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by A. S.
