Bessie Ruth Hulsey

Bessie Ruth Hulsey, age 87, a long-time resident of Dekalb County, passed away Tuesday October 1st at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Mineral Wells, Texas on July 29, 1932. She was taught to drive a race car by Carroll Shelby, was a champion bridge player and loved antiques. Most of all she loved her family. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved son Mark. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Suzanne and her 3 grandchildren Kimberly, Christopher and Michael. They have wonderful memories of travelling with their “Nana.” She was always taking them on trips to Callaway Gardens for the Christmas lights, Texas, New York and Alaska.
