Betty Emma Bellville, 87, of Decatur, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 14th, 2010, at Hospice Atlanta. Mrs. Bellville was born April 11, 1923 in Wimbledon, Surrey, England. She served her country in The Women's Land Army stationed in Chipperfield, Hertfordshire, England during World War II, at which time she met her husband of 60 years, the late Dennis Bellville, who was a member of the 8th Army Air Force during World War II. She and two of her daughters arrived in the United States in 1947. Thirty-four years later, 1981, she proudly became a citizen of the United States and for several years duteously worked the voting polls at the local Decatur elementary school, Winnona Park. Since 1955, she has been a member of the Lutheran Church of The Messiah in Decatur, Georgia. Mrs. Bellville is survived by her brother Alfred Hill of Wimbledon, England, her daughters; Jeanne Taffs, Heather Bellville, Linda Bellville, and Sylvia Grogan, her sons-in-law; Richard Taffs and Gerry Grogan, her grandchildren; Pat Taffs, Kris Kuehndahl, Dennis Grogan, Heather Bush and Sean Doughtie, her great grand children; Kevin Stephens, Alexandra Allred, Brian Kuehndahl and Nicholas Kuehndahl, Morgan Bush, Kate Bush, John Bush, Kennon Doughtie, Chase Doughtie, John Miller Doughtie and her great, great, grandchildren; Erin Allred, Jackson Allred, McKayla Stephens and Tyson Stephens. There will be a graveside service at the Decatur Cemetery for the family members.
