Betty Davis Macleod

Daughter of the late Lilly and Guy Davis and sister of the late Opal Blackwell, Betty Davis MacLeod of Atlanta, GA passed away on April 10, 2008 at the age of 78.  Betty graduated from Bass High School before marrying her childhood sweetheart, the late Harry MacLeod in 1947 at Scott Boulevard Presbyterian Church.  Spending the majority of her life as a resident of Tucker, Betty and Harry moved to Lake Lanier in the mid-1980s.  A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Betty took a very active role in the lives of her family and friends.  Her sense of humor, tenacious personality, and dedication to those she loved will be truly missed by those who knew her.  She is survived by her three children, Steve MacLeod of Grayson, Michael MacLeod of Flowery Branch, and Gail MacLeod of Tucker, and 4 grandchildren, Ashley MacLeod of Snellville, Michelle Hamilton of Tucker, Janie MacLeod of Macon, and Davis MacLeod of Flowery Branch.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur with Rev. Jody Shelton officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 4 to 6 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
