Betty Frick Heckman

Mrs. Betty Frick Heckman, 90, of Decatur died Thursday, June 5, 2008.  She was an active member of Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church, Tucker, GA, where she was a member of the Harmony Sunday School class, Joy Club, Senior Joy Bells, and the UMW. Mrs. Heckman was born in Kittanning, PA on February 17, 1918.  She went to the Griffin Beauty School in Pittsburgh, PA for two years after graduating high school in 1936.   Mrs. Heckman is survived by her daughter, Peggy Varner of Stockbridge, GA; niece, Fran Wright of Villa Rica, GA; sister-in-law, Charlotte Coffman of Villa Rica, GA; and second daughter, Nancy Fleming of Shelocta, PA.  She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel C. Heckman in November, 1981.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7th at 3:00

P. M. at Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church with Rev. Gail Thompson officiating.  Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church, 3142 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA  30084.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
