Betty Hale Archer, 88, of Stone Mountain, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 3, 2016 surrounded by family.Born December 14, 1927 in Jackson County, GA, Betty loved her family dearly. Mrs. Archer was a member of The First Baptist Church of Tucker for 57 years. Betty was the daughter of the late George Glenn Hale and Ruby Woodall Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Walter Archer, Jr.; sister, Frances Foster and brother's, Travis Hale and Ferrell Hale. Survivors include daughter , Diane Malcolm (Ray) of Thomaston; son, Jeff Archer of Stone Mountain; sisters, Charlotte Arnold of Nicholson, Louise Duke of Jefferson, Linda Hall (Marvin) of Bainbridge and Maxine Hart of Snellville; grandchildren, Madison Archer and Anna Catharine Archer of Suwanee and Clint Malcolm (Cass) of Marietta; great grandchildren, Taylor and Jackson Malcolm.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The First Baptist Church of Tucker, GA "Randy Mullis preschool scholarship fund. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 7 at 2 pm at The First Baptist Church of Tucker. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, May 6 from 6-8 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home & Crematory, Decatur, GA.
