Betty Hannnah Farnell

Betty Hannah Farnell, 90 died on September 11, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Farnell. She was born on December 11, 1920 in Atlanta (Chamblee) Georgia. She graduated from Girls High in 1939, where she was voted best all around and most representative. A 1941 graduate of Young Harris College, she was president of the Susan B. Harris Society. She had been a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church since 1953 and continued to be a faithful and active member until her death. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Hay and her husband Robert; her son, Joe Farnell, Jr. and his wife Ann; grandsons, Robert Hay Jr., Kevin Hay and Jason Farnell; one great grandson, Stockton Hay; one great granddaughter, Anderson Hay; and several nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday September 14, 2011 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with visitation to follow. Rev. Louis Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church or Compassionate Hospice.
